Members musicdog400 Posted September 21, 2009 Members Share Posted September 21, 2009 I stopped by GC and got to try the ElectraDyne. I plugged in with a fat strat. I thought this was a great sounding amp, very full and chimey at the same time. The bass control sounded like it was post (not pre) distortion. If I had a complaint it would be that it sounded a bit looser on the low end, in person, than it does on the YouTube clip, even the single coil positions. I would have to stick an EQ in front, to pull down the lows, if I used this for low or med gain stuff. Clean is fine. Also our guitar player brought a new Swart amp to practice. It sounded pretty sweet, kind of tweedy with a loose low end. The distorted lead stuff sounded very full and creamy. He played a Tele. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
