Members ak47dragunov
Hi guys, I never posted around here, mostly because I couldn't find the means to record my own songs, but I recently happened upon a Tascam DP-008 that my friend let me borrow in exchange for me lending him my bass amp. So anyways, here are the not-so-perfect results of me toying around with it for a few weeks. Tempo issues and mistakes are mostly untouched due to my unfimiliarity with the DP-008, but hopefully the songs are at least listenable, an hey, maybe enjoyable? Well, here you guys go. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11025810&q=hi http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11025808&q=hi http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=10880608&q=hi http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11025809&q=hi P.S These are working titles! I wouldn't actually call a song "metal ballad thing"
Members oldgitplayer
There's some really good music in there. Much of it is buried beneath the distortion of the lead guitar, but they are all worthy of lyrics (and maybe pulling back on the dominance of guitar distortion). Are you going to write for them all? They weren't written as instrumentals Not everyone's cut out to be the next Mario Lanza, but I think there's something to be said for toughing it out and putting your own vocals on your work. Particularly outside the realm of pretty/slick pop, there's a lot of room for character and individuality, I think. Those who can play in time can usually sing in time and, while the would-be silk purse may not fall too far from the sow's ear tree, if one can tune a guitar, one can usually learn to sing more or less in pitch (I keep telling myself). (Of course, if you're also not a lyricist, it's never too late to start working on that, either.)
