Members Crunchtime
I had a Chadwick II. While I thought there were some good tones in it, I was not thrilled with the build quality. When installing tubes, the whole socket would rock. I was just waiting for that to cause a problem.
Members DEADBYDAWN
i remember ozzfest 05 at the pinnacle of krank hate when 3/4 of the bands were using krank. people were coming back raving about bands tones saying how great those 5150s or whatever amp they wanted the band to be using sounded when they were really using kranks, and bashing the bands that sounded like {censored} saying they were kranks when they really werent. i had a working pass and took pics of a bunch of rigs to prove it and people still werent havin it Sounds about right. Members SirJackdeFuzz
I always liked the first Gen. Krankenstein's. Not so much the newer 120W Plus ones. A two guitar Hard Rock band (Krankenstein & Mesa MK5) would, IMHO, be a great pair. Just my 2cents

Members Stevenexp
I've played a chadwick and I thought it sounded terrible. Honestly the videos don't sound very good either.

Members 496dart
I totally agree. Its quite amusing reading about how this amp is the most br00talzorz and hi-gainz evar, but the funniest thing is people judging an amp on internet clips. gotta love hcaf... Members sled
I have a Rev1 and RevJrPro. IMO, excellent amps all around. Krank tone seem to require a certain level of experience and time. I love these threads...
Members -Juggernaut-
I've had the Rev1 and the Krankenstein, the Rev was actually a really cool amp, the Krankenstein SUCKED ASS. hated it, tried and tried to like it, but sounded o.k. at home, sounded like ass in a band situation..... want to try a Revjr. Members KRANKY
FYI Krank has come out with a new upgraded amp to replace the Chadwick. The new amp is the NINETEEN80. The new amp has real grill cloth instead of metal.
