Members Charvel1975
Hello, I was wanting some input. I have a stock 1998 Gibson les paul special with the stock p-100's in it that I want to swap out just the bridge pickup for a Dimarzio P-90 Super Distortion DP209 or a Dimarzio P-90 Tone Zone DP210 pickup. Unfortunately, I don't have the money right now to go with an active EMG P81 & P60 set Have any of you guys tried these pickups in the bridge of a p-90 or p-100 equipped les paul? I play modern metal and the stock bridge pickup isn't cutting it.
Members peavey_impact
Super Distortion p90 is awesome. I haven't tried the Tone Zone p90 but the tone zones are usually best suited in bright guitars. I'm pretty sure either one would do what you want just fine

Members brian_ward
i had a emg p85 in the bridge of my sg special. there is a huge difference between an emg and a regular p100 in both output and tone. youd probably dig it.
