Members KCTigerChief
google: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=open+source+video+converter Handbrake is what you are looking for, by the way.
Members jimbles
Handbrake is good, but geared towards ripping dvds... x264 (what handbrake's built on) or MEncoder would do, only thing is they're both command line based, but if you find a program based on either of these or FFMpeg etc, should be a good shout. Members grunge782
VLC can convert video. http://www.ehow.com/how_5797957_convert-mp4-wmv-vlc.html I love VLC so much. I HATE Itunes with a passion, they load it up with as much advertisement as possible. VLC is very clean looking, logical and can play just about any kind file. And its free of course.
