Members Reauchambeau
I use to use a Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb head, swithed to 25w mode, as a power amp (output section only). worked great.
Members mcr23
I wish Fryette or Rivera (or some other US brand) would make a 6V6 poweramp, with power switching. either a pair of A/B 6V6s per channel down to single-ended class A, or something like that... Members ChS
Mesa 50/50 has a low power mode, something like 12 watts per channel.

Trust me, even on low power it is still REALLY LOUD!!! i have mine on low power and cant get it above 7 without major complaints from the rest of my band. thus the hotplate. it is a very sweet amp though, def would recommend. TBR-3 will take a quad of JJ 6V6's, and it will run in triode.

Members mcr23
Yeah I saw the size. It'd be like having another 295 poweramp.
Members sbrett
The one from Atomic is kind of intriguing me. It's not low wattage necessarily (50w), but it's small and would make for a nice little stereo rig.
Members mcr23
yeah I was thinking more in the 7-20W range.
Members The Anomaly
Honestly, as far as db's and volume, even a 20 watt power amp is loud as {censored}. Those "low power" switches on a lot of amps are more for changing the character and breakup point than actual volume.

Members BlackCustom
You might consider two small tube combos or heads (Blackheart for example). Would get you there for less than any stero power amp I know of.
Members wrathfuldeity
Imo, this works very well for the old tonelab tt > 1949 ptp pp6v6 monoblock sans preamp...just find 2 of them.
