I remember the best I ever felt about my playing was when I was 18 - I didn't pick up the guitar for a month through my exams, and after my last exam I got home, cranked it, and felt like I'd got infinitely better. But I've been running the same amp and effects for about a year and that amp's been my main for as long as I can remember. I'm in awe of the massive collection of great equipment I've acquired over the years. I'm always loving my tone. I do seriously need to work on my playing though.
