Members jomaco
Hi I just purchased a silverface fender deluxe reverb amp (student loan came in handy!). There appears to be a whoosing sort of background sound, I'm fairly sure it's not a preamp tube as I tried pulling them all (and swapping in a new 12ax7 where appropriate) - but it could be a power tube. Is it worth replacing these or is there something else it is more likely to be? When I originally used the amp the reverb squealed on mid to high settings but this appears to have settled down. It still sounds sweet so it may well be that that background noise I'm hearing is normal but I'm little apprehensive about it. What might be the problem? Thanks a lot Jon
Members fretless
I'd probably get that in the shop for a thorough checkup a good tech can work out the bugs .
