Members cacheek
You know, like the JB Jrs and the like. What do you think? Can/do they compare well with full-size humbuckers?
Members Bumhucker
I'm a big fan of the Hot Rails. Its hot even by full size standards and great for heavy stuff.
Members timmyfirst
you mean a single coil sized humbucker where the coils are side by side (JB Jr) or a stacked single coil humbucker where the coils are "stacked" on top of each other? They're both quite different i've found. Side by side tends to give a slightly more true humbucker sound, although i've always found them a little brighter and more compressed than a full sized humbucker. The "Stacked" option tends to be voiced more towards the single coil sound, but with a bit more output and of course hum cancelling.
Members RUExp?
They're more focused sounding since they cover less string space.
Members Rock Hardness
I put three of them in my hum-sing configured EC29 and rewired it up with a 5 way switch. Coil tap for extra versitility. Works great.

I used a DiMarzio Fast Track 2 (their equivalent to the SD Hot Rails) in the bridge position of my old Strat for several years before moving to full-sized humbuckers. {censored} was scorching. Members timmyfirst
If you're looking for that true humbucker sound from a single coil size slot i'd look into the Joe Bardens. I had one in an old mexican 50's Tele and it {censored}ing screamed. Really big sounding humbucker. http://www.joebarden.com/main.php?section=Products&pageID=S-Deluxe
