Members Deconstruction Posted September 25, 2012 Members Share Posted September 25, 2012 Some great albums were recorded with the rg100es heads. they hold up to most tube amps in a live and even recording setting no problem. I recently recorded my bands 6 song EP, and i tracked every song with a '86 rg100es (boosted, lead channel) and a Mesa/Boogie mark III (redstripe). For most of my rhythm tracks i preffered the Randall and kept those track... it just had a more aggressive, menacing and unique sound to it that suited our band the best. The Boogie killed for leads and cleans though... i used it mainly for that and some overdubs and harmonies. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
