Members Belva
Hand power drill will work. You can make a drill bushing to fit the holes in the body to bring it down to the 1/8" size you need for the neck screws. Make sure the neck is lined up in the body where you want it & drill. You can also use the masking tape around the bit trick to make sure you don't go too far. I like to stop when about 1/4" of screw will be biting undrilled wood. I haven't yet done this when the holes aren't drilled in the body, so maybe someone else has info on that. I see no advantage to using a drill press. Members Belva
I forgot. A drill bushing for this would be a piece of metal tubing that just fits in the holes in the body & allows your 1/8" bit to pass through. Put the neck in place & drill from the back with the neck where it belongs. Do one, run the screw in then do the next one diagonally & run another screw. That's what I've done & had good luck.
