Members stratleads
My amp started sound bad. The bias moves higher as I play. Its not staying fixed at 65. The harder I hit it the higher it goes. It sounds bad. Any suggestions as to why its acting this way?

Members metalhobo
I say its your OT acting up. Yeah, with four sentences of information given the problem is obviously the most expensive component in the whole amp. Swap out the power tubes, reset the bias point and see if it still sounds bad. Members Jack Tone
This may be a silly question, but are you reading the meter WHILE you're playing?

That opposite of what I've been told as of 6:30 today, I'm thinking there's a problem with the bias circuit. I'm going to call a Fender Amp tech tomorrow.
