Members guitarbilly74
My name is Mike and I approve this post. Good tone. I think the original (by Timmons) was recorded on a VH100R

Having 2 more Laney amps sounds more than reasonable to me.

Lionheart 50 is definitely on my radar as soon as i get my publishing advance!
Members Likes Loomis
I had a VH100R years ago and loved it. If, in fact, the triple xxx II is a JSX...sounds like I need to look for a used JSX...duh!
Members Mazzith
I bought this amp and the three biggest things I did was get guitar warehouse speakers veteran 30s for it. They are like vintage 30 without the mid spike. I also found that having the treble pulled out gave it some cut. I tried the pre boost but prefer my maxon od808 pedal instead. I have the level maxed and distortion at 0 on the pedsl just to boost the signal and use the tone knob to dial in my tone more. I've only had mine a few days and still working on it. Members Mazzith
Oh also this amp loved tuned down guitars. The amp sounds so much better with my 7 string vs my 6 in standard tuning. I might just start writing more in drop c tuning.
