Members MattyOvertone
Hey all I have a '78 Marshall JMP 100watter and I'm looking to replace the impedance selector. I'm having a tough time trying to find anyone that sells them. I realize by todays standards they're somewhat of a hazard and upgrading to the newer style is recommended. However, i don't think the older and newer selector cases have the same foot print and I really don't want to have to cut my amp up. Any leads on where to find an older selector would be great. Thanks!
Members WRGKMC
If you mean the removable knob that has two pins, here you go. http://www.earthshakingmusic.com/4112205.html I suppose you know that the function of this knob selects different coil taps on the transformer. To prevent it from being lost again I'd probibly try to install sone kind of metal clip or wire.
Members MattyOvertone
I'm looking for both the male and female. I can't find any place that stocks the old style. Every place seems to only carry the newer style used on the 800s because they're deemed safer. The original in the amp is trashed because the previous owner must have lost the male plug and shoved a bridge between the common and 16ohm terminal and everything is kinda' bent up and whatever. still works, maybe with some tlc i can repair the original.
