Members tedmich Posted February 2, 2010 Members Share Posted February 2, 2010 FYI when you put a resistor across the "legs" of a pot to get a lower value:ie a 10k resistor across a 10k linear pot you get an approximation of a reverse log taper in a 5k pot, graph it to see here:http://www.mindspring.com/~clist/PotGraph.html by the same token you can't use 1M pots to get every value by the parallel resistor without getting funky tapers.
