Members ryanspeer
Any suggestions on a really transparent sounding compressor for use with an acoustic? I've had terrible experiences with a Boss CS-3 with both an acoustic and electric, and never did give the Marshall ED-1 a try with my acoustic for some reason, although I absolutely rave about it for an electric. Although the Keeley compressor is kind of pricey, it MIGHT (and I do stress "MIGHT") be viable. Maybe. Beautiful, transparent, un-colored TONE are what I'm looking for. Essentially something to bring up flatpicking volume while squashing hard strumming within a given song. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Members acoustiholic
are you talking about recording or live? For recording, I prefer a DBX 1066.

Well, live probably. Something that would work well in both applications would be nice, but definitely something that's stomp-box style.

Members fretmess
Just bought a Nady Digicomp 16 and am still on the learning curve, but very very promising. Very well made 1/3 rack size and for only $69.00 from Musicians Friend. It looks like it is really going to help my Martin nylon.
