Members LittleBrother
One of the best guitar designs ever invented but bring a metal ruler, a light, mirror and a magnifying glass. If you are not an experienced Gibson buyer bring one with you. Take it to a good luthier while still in the trial period and make sure the neck angle and other things are good. Mostly cosmetic flaws abound with Gibson but they can be fantastic. I would not buy one without inspecting it unless I had a trial return period. If you get a good one it can be pure heaven. If you can get an early 1990s model with no flaws and the "custom" logo on the back of the headstock those are alot better and have a much more vintage shape neck. Members madog99
beauty! Once you get hooked on the slope shoulder sound everything else pales . Or maybe it's just gibson period ? My buddy just picked up a J100 on Saturday and it has a honey of a sound and it's only a month old .Not to mention gorgeous to look at .
Members Danocoustic
Jorma Kaukonen sure seems to like 'em a lot---and he's quite the fingerstylist.
Members acoustiholic
Gibson quite possibly makes the best all-around jumbo you can buy. Period. LB is correct in saying that not all are perfect, BUT, if you find a good one... it's a lifelong partner. A good Gibson is an investment in money and soul.
