Members acoustiholic
You can get a Ramirez cutaway with electronics for around $1500 new here in the States- you could do much worse.
Members nylon rock
I have an acoustic electric, several years old, Yamaha CGX171CC. Cedar top. Sounds great, really. The other day went and saw the current version offered by Yamaha and it is almost identical, and sounded just as good as mine. Played a lot of other nylon acoustics including a Ramirez. None of them compared. So, go to Yamaha's web site and go to their acoustic electric classical page and learn for yourself. With case, you'll be spending around $900.
