Members jpp413
It seems that every review I see for the older J-160E acoustics, are really bad -- people complain that the tone stinks due to the laminate top, tone stinks due to the old style bracing, etc. Are they really that bad? I know that the Beatles used them extensively in recording and gigging. Apparently, the tone sounded fine to them--- what am I missing here
Members JasmineTea
I think they sound terrible. Recording is loads of fun. It's entirely possible to make an expensive guitar sound terrible, and a junky guitar sound great.
