Members nick fury
Does anyone here have any opinions on this one? It's the model with a solid spruce top. I realize there are other good options in the same price range, but the thing is I can get a good deal on a used one. I've been playing an electric for eons, but I don't have a whole lot of experience when it comes to acoustics... I'll use it to play a lot of flat-picked single lines, more ethno-jazzy than folky, plus I just need a decent general purpose guitar that can stand some abuse. Any help greatly appreciated! Members Terry Allan Hall
They vary a lot, but some of them are pretty good! The great advantage of a used solid-top is that if anything major was going to go wrong, it probably would have already, so if it sounds good and plays comfortably, you're most likely safe in buying it! BTW, who was Piggy?
Members nick fury
Thanks for reply! I'll go give it a spin maybe this weekend. Good point on the advantage of used in this case. See, I'm considering trading one of my electrics for it, and while I hate getting rid of an instrument, the itch or an acoustic is just too strong! It's Denis 'Piggy' D'Amour, an excellent and very original guitarist from band Voivod; he died of cancer a little over a year ago.
