Members Stackabones
In my quest for the elusive D-hole SelMac nylon-string guitar, I recently spotted the "Finesse" from Eimers Guitars. This one doesn't appear to have the zero-fret, which is a very desirable feature with these guitars. * I spotted this Manouche Modele Concert a while back. * Cameo in the film "Head in the Clouds." EDIT: This one is a 1932 Selmer! * Alves de Puga * Django playing one. * Luis Sevillano * Mario Maccaferri on a D-hole Harp Guitar * Rare vid of one in action. * And a pic of me playing one. * Anybody else seen other examples of these rare beasts? Members Pascal
Favino's Jazz nylon comes to mind...... but it's an oval hole. Sorry.
Members Phlat Phive
I love Thomas Dutronc's tone in that video. And his playing isn't too shabby either.

Members Phlat Phive
And with a pick! The nylon string purist in me frowns on that. The nylon string purist in me probably needs to STFU.

That's the flamenco/classical purist methinks. Nylon-string pick players have this attitude -- Actually, I started playing nylons with hybrid picking. Now it's all flesh and nails. Nylon-string pick players have this attitude -- Actually, I started playing nylons with hybrid picking. Now it's all flesh and nails. It had better be! When I 'switched' from electric to flamenco, it felt so awkward playing with my fingers, especially fast passages. I'm still practising for it to feel completely natural actually. I just dig the sound of the strings smacking against the frets with aggressive rest stokes too much to reach for a pick nowadays.
