I thought a few folks here might like this:

It's a recent one (before the latest Crossroads Festival in Chicago), and he touches on acoustic blues and touring with Sonny Boy Williamson in his youth. There's more to it, of course, but I thought some might enjoy this reading material.

Thanks for posting that! That's by far the most interesting interview with Clapton I've read in a long time. For one thing, you could tell he enjoyed talking, probably because it was about his favorite subject, the blues. Good stuff.

My favorite part:

"I really love standing next to the bass player and drummer. I like that more than standing up at the microphone. I really do."

That's always been my favorite part of playing live, too. There's nothing quite like just locking in to make a solid groove.
