Heres a nice little list of musicians, and interestingly enough, quite a few of these jazz mando guys are doing gypsy jazz stuff.

Just a quick glance at this list before I head out the door. Chris Thile ... isn't he a pretty big deal nowadays? Is he playing gypsy jazz/hot/swing?

I look at it again later when I get home. Thanks!

Chris Thile is getting pretty big, but nah, hes very far from gypsy jazz and swing. He's done a lot of bluegrass and whatnot, but I think he is on that list mostly for the stuff he did with Mike Marshall (FANTASTIC duo), but also for one or two of his solo records.

Out of that list, harmonious wail and Joe Craven have the biggest django influences. Craven even has an album out called "django latino"... its latin gypsy jazz. Maybe a little off topic, but the choice of instrumentation makes it fit into this thread IMO.

I also wanted to add one last FVQ video... probably their most famous tune.

Wish I could find a video of "lemme take you to the beach".
