Members johnmoorejohn
I am looking for songs that would be nice to learn from TAB for an intermediate. I would prefer no capoing, and no alternate tunings. Something in the McKee vein, but I am open to anything.
Members pawsable
I bought a couple of book recently from a Hal Leonard series that have lots of familar songs. the books are designed for intermediate players and have both notes and tab and of course the chord notations. I got Fingerpicking Beatles and Fingerpicking Ballads. I am working on Blackbird and Hey Jude from the beatles book.
Members Hudman
Get used to alternate tunings if you like McKee's style of music.
Members guitarist21
Get used to alternate tunings if you like McKee's style of music. This is very true. The tapping style popularized by guys like McKee lately is all about alternate tunings and the different harmonics you can produce outside of standard tuning. I feel like someone could make a fortune if they could write a method book that very clearly explained how to make some of the sounds they make. Seems like there's a lot of people looking to learn, and I don't think that TAB alone is always a descriptive enough way to teach it.
