I looked on Taylors site and didnt find much info to help in the process, anyone know?
Members Brokepick
If I recall correctly, there is one bolt under the fretboard, and two bolts in the neck block, under the sticker. You'll have to have the correct shims from Taylor to set it up right. I guess you could experiment with pieces of business cards or something, but that's not something I'd do. There's a couple of good videos at the Taylor website on that NT neck. BTW, as easy as this is to do, a good luthier that has the shims can do it right for you, and it won't cost you too much. Members Raj
Personally I'd take it to a luthier for a professional neck reset, it's not a cheap guitar. If you're unsure about the neck joint, that's probably an indication that you shouldn't DIY. For what it's worth, I believe the GC3 has a single threaded bolt-on neck- the "T-Lock". EDIT: or as Brokepick says, if it's a newer GC3 with the NT neck, it'll be more complicated. I am not so good with Taylors, partly because shims make me cry. Members seagullplayer77
I'd just give it to a luthier or a guitar tech and pay to have it done. Not to down your abilities or anything, but if you pay to have it done, it'll (probably) get done right.
