Members gitnoob
Discontinued. Laminated rosewood back/sides. Unless it's VERY cheap, I'd keep looking. (Psst: Eastman.)

Members gitnoob
I've never played an 8-string Crafter, but I have played several other Crafters, and I liked most of them a lot. Especially their all-solid wood models. They use a fairly innovative bracing -- it seems to help.
Members guitarcapo
I was under the impression that the sides were lam and the back was solid on those. The "1" series was that way and the R stands for "rosewood". Lam sides actually might be a good thing if you plan on installing a pickup system in the sides.
