Members geek_usa
Which do you prefer, and why? This is ONLY Dean Markley vs. DR...I don't want to hear anything about ernie balls or d'addario or webstrings.
Members metallica_00
I typically use DR Tite-Fit 9-42s on my Ibanez. I don't notice a huge difference between string brands but those generally give me a consistently good feel, tone, and lifespan. So I keep buying them. I put Pure Blues on once too, those were nice also...I think I'll try those on the G&L when I get it.
Members seajay
I vote for Dean Markley 10-46 and 11-52. Mostly because I've never tried the DRs.
Members Highway_61
I voted for Dean Markley, because I like the Blue Steels (9-42). However, I really want to like DRs--I am drawn to them for some reason--so, even though I have yet to be pleased with DRs, I am confident that I will try them again some day. Members Mad Finn
DR's rule. Absolutely the best strings for the money. I've tried at least Ernie Ball, Dean Markley, D'addario, Rotosound and GHS... DR's are the best by far. Longest life and best sound. Never gonna buy anything else again. Members Juzzie
Well... I'll go for DR tite-fit 10-46s. Cheaper and better sounding. They don't last as long as DMs though. GHS TNTs are a good try-out for LP style guitars.
