Members SpliffyJonez
I got a dimarzio stacked single coil with two wires, red and green. I assume red=hot and green=ground, right? What would happen if these wires were connected the opposite way? could tis reduce hum? I think this stacked single coil should work the same as a Fender "Noisless" one, but for some reason it still gives off much hum (when I'm not touching strings). The wire connecting the two stacked coils is intact. I wonder if this is because it's mounted in an acoustic. WHen I used a regular single coil, it gave off even more hum...but still, noisless should be totally noisless right?
Members walfordr
Are your strings grounded? BTW: Its a stacked humbucker, not a single coil.
