Members hare.29
Once in awhile I'll pick up the AS-820 and my tone just sounds great. Just what I've been looking for. So I try to record some stuff, but things never sound the same. Keep in mind that I live in a townhouse, so I don't have the amp cranked much at all. So my question is what is the best way to record from a semi-hollowbody guitar? Do I mike the amp and the guitar? Mike the guitar and record direct from the amp? Thanks. Members Alchemist
mic the amp with an SM57 next to the speaker, and then place a condensor about 6-8 feet back in the middle of the room to capture the ambience, thats how I do it, and it works fine for me:)
