Members jumpduck
Anybody changed out tuning machines on an epiphone 400 SG? My boys guitar, and he likes it, but the tuners are ass, and I'd like to install a good set. Grover makes some decent ones(I said he likes it, not that I'm gonna go broke putting top level parts on it) The Grovers call for a 10 mm hole. I just don't have my metric ruler handy. Will they work? Thanks.
Members Kalebmation
The G400 has come with Grover tuners standard for about two years now. I have em on my two year old Epi LP Standard and they are very good tuners. Nice and smooth.
Members OldFenderGuy
My Iommi SG came with the Grovers stock, and they work very well..I've had the Grovers on a number of guitars, Epi LP Custom, Gibson LP Standard, etc., and I've never had a problem with them. Members jumpduck
Thanks, guys, that's what I thought. For what it's worth, I come from an era where Grovers were THE tuners, and I've used them myself several times, so I got no problem with their reputation. Funny that in the realm of replacements, they're actually cheaper than most. Whatever. Thanks for the input.

Members Scary_Man
be sure to go with the fullsize grovers. they seem to be more consistant with quality. and should bolt to an epi.
