Members Manitou
Anyone hear of them? The reviews have been nothing but positive. I haven't heard anyone talk about them on this board but I imagine someone has some input on them. Personally I'm thinkin about the Mercury 002 (LP Custom Copy) looks sweet. Members FinkPloyd
Chinese guitars probably made by the same factory that pumps out the Jonson line. Once I touched Johnson (not that one) and I backed. Yucks.
Members Manitou
I imagine the set-up is what seperates them from the other imports. Although apparently they use somewhat better quality parts/materials. Although all I'm going by is the reviews so I could be wrong.

Members Bigfun
I haven't owned or even handled a Stellar, but one of my favorite guitars (out of the seven that I currently own) right now is a lowly Chinese-made Sanatoga ES175 copy that I picked up on an ebay 'no reserve' auction for $127.00. It has some minor finish 'issues' in several spots, but it's a hoot to play, and being a bright, solid, 'safety yellow' it sure gets it's share of attention at the ol' open mike night. I've seen the Stellar brand of guitars on ebay, they appear to be quite similar to a bunch of other chinese-made instruments, most of which are pretty fair considering the price.I'm not afraid of a good 'cheapo' guitar now and then, and you don't really have much to lose if it turns out to be a hopeless dog, which isn't likely. Minor problems, if any, are usually easily rectified and if the basic build-quality of the guitar is decent, it may be worth upgrading if you get ambitious later on. Members jjpistols
OFG was researching them a couple months back - try a search for some of his old threads, can't remember if he found out much, though
