Tele neck pickup?

I used to think my tele neck pickup was a little rubbish and weedy too because it had significantly less output than the bridge pickup (and the other 2 pickups as well now I think of it). But on clean and slightly crunchy overdrive that pickup is always what I go for with an EQ pedal to help boost it up to par with the rest. It gives the sweetest chime and lovely warm mids which nothing else has been able to top.

Hmm I cant remember which models exactly, I know I played an American Vintage '52 tele and most of the MIM tele's including the artist sigs. The 52 was amazing aside from the neck pickup, the middle position is great. By the way sorry for the slow response been away from the computer for a couple days.

I love the neck position on my American series Tele.

 

I used to think the Tele neck position sucked before I owned one - turned out it was because I had been trying it on reissue models with the vintage wiring. On those guitars, the neck position is very boomy and the tone control is nonfunctional.
