Tele neck pickup?

Hmm I cant remember which models exactly, I know I played an American Vintage '52 tele and most of the MIM tele's including the artist sigs. The 52 was amazing aside from the neck pickup, the middle position is great. By the way sorry for the slow response been away from the computer for a couple days.

I love the neck position on my American series Tele.

 

I used to think the Tele neck position sucked before I owned one - turned out it was because I had been trying it on reissue models with the vintage wiring. On those guitars, the neck position is very boomy and the tone control is nonfunctional.

I like it, it has it's uses. You need to make sure the pups are balanced properly. I do like it to be a bit quieter though, so it will clean up a lot by switching.

Hell no! Mine drips with tone. And it sparkles in series with the bridge.

the neck p/up in my '60s tele ri is awesome. bassy, wide open, with enough treble mixed in. i play punk with it no problem, it growls.
