Members Aldea
Is there any different between a regular great river MP-2NV and the mercenary edition?
Members Navigator
It's the only edition available. It was designed with input from Fletcher at Mercenary. There are no non-Mercenary editions. And it's a fine preamp indeed.

Moderators MarkGifford-1 Posted April 27, 2007 Moderators Share Posted April 27, 2007 Actually, the one I've got was an early production run, and there's no ME logo on it. The model no. is MP-1NV. It's still the same pre, tho. MG
Members alphajerk
we stuck it up against a vintage 1073 [marinair xformers] and 1079 [st ives] and it came out really well against them. didnt have the bottom of the 1073 but tad bit more useful than the 1079, but similar in sound. the GR EQ2NV made up for the bottom deficency against the 1073. the EQ was however entirely different than either, i hear its after the 1081 though.
