Members 45below
Hey guys,I think it would be really cool to be able to go overseas and perform a concert with the band for the troops in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. Because of the current state of the band, this couldn't happen for another couple years (who knows if we'll even still be there then) but does anybody know where I would go to get more information regarding this? Thanks

Members 45below
Look, I honestly have no idea. I also don't have a particular opinion on the subject. I don't want to turn this into an argument... any chance we can stick to the main question please? thanks

Members BlueStrat
I have a friend who is a drummer who went on a mini- USO tour. They didn't go to any hot zones, but went to Germany, Italy, and a few other places. You might contact the USO and see what the procedure is. As an aside, he did say it wasn't nearly as glamorous or fun as he imagined; they got to do almost no sightseeing and every hour of every day was either sleeping, traveling, waiting around in 'secure areas', performing, moving gear, back to the billeting area, sleeping, traveling....but he did get a lot of satisfaction knowing he was doing something good for the guys who had to be there every day.
