Man!! I was looking at the other thread about the student edition PRS guitars and I ran across the PRS SE Singlecut....NOW I want ONE!

http://prsguitars.com/showcase/current/sesinglecut.html

Does anyone know how much they will sell for? Could you make a guess at what you would pay for one at a store? Also, Is the top carved? It looks like it has a small rise on it....not flat like the PRS SE Custom.

I LOVE the way the controls are set up on it...very simple and easy to use.

Yeah, you need to call or email. Brian Meader is the guy to talk to at Levins. Their prices on SE's are usually about $50 less than MF/GC.

Just for your information, that IS a carved maple top! I got an email from PRS saying it was..........Here it is:

The SE Singlecut models have a carved maple top and are shipping to dealers this week. Supply should become more abundant by next month.

Here is a link to an Authorized PRS dealer or distributor in your area: http://www.prsguitars.com/dealer.asp

I fail to see how the dean would be a better guitar!

Comfortablynumb said: "It's identical in shape and weight to the Tremonti.."

I'm not sure about that weight thing. The two having the same shape and thicknes, the maple top of the single cut would increase its weight somewhat. It's a nice looking guitar though and I wouldn't mind to own one.

Yes it is, but not in the Les Paul sense. As the pic above shows, the waist up is really Les Paul-ish, but the lower bout have more of a rounded corners thing going. Even so I'd rather buy one of these than an Epiphone.
