LEM-OIL Fretboard Question

How often do you put this on the fretboard.

 

Is it bad to take off all your strings to do this. One guitar stringing method I read said just to take one string off at a time and put the new one on before moving on to the next. I would think if your are going to do a modification on the bridge you would have to take all the strings off.

Of course you would (or change a pickup, swap tuners, etc). That's an urban legend. I'd strip that thing bare and give fretboard a good cleaning every time you change strings - then wipe lightly with oil and rub it right back off. No need to saturate.

I do it once a year and clean the frets with "Never Dull".

I've always taken off all the strings at once. Techs do it too. No problem.

Thanks, That seem kind of stupid but it was from the fender custom shop so I thought there might be something to it.
