Members Devinstation
Are there any cheaper alternatives to a Nashville Tele that doesn't require routing?
Members BootRoots
whats cheap? you can get a nashville for like 450 or something used right?
Members IRG
Get a Squier standard and have a shop route in another single pup slot. Use GFS parts, including a new pickguard, and you can probably have one for $300-$350.

Members DenverDave
If you can get a used Peavey Generation in that price range - that would be best. The new Generations come with a ceramic HB in the bridge position and don't have the twang you need from a Tele....
Members guitarmook
The Alvarez's are out of production - have been for a couple years - you might still be able to find a used one. The MIM standard telecasters (not the classic 50s or 60s) have a swimming-pool rout, I believe - you prolly oughta take the pickguard off to make sure, though (they may only be routed for a neck 'bucker...
