Members angus_old
58 = Korina 76 = Mahogany, no?
Members GAS Man
The 58 also has more vintage style pickups in it, like the Gisbon '57 Classics, and a little thicker neck. And yeah, korina (limba). The 76 takes the shape, changes to mahogany, changes to higher output ceramic pickups, better suited for hard rock or heavy metal, and has a little slimmer neck shape. I have the '58 Epi and bought my son the '76 Gibson. A Gibson '58 reissue Explorer costs about 8 grand.
