Members GAS Man
If there's a musical performance you've been thinking about buying, now's a decent time cuz www.deepdiscountdvd.com just sent me an e-mail for 20% off all of their DVDs. (that's off the prices shown) They have free shipping (slow) and no sales tax. The code is "SUPERSALE". So besides the announcement of the sale, please post ideas for good concert purchases. I'll start off with a few off my list of "must haves". http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=RDD080142 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=SON049111 I mean {censored}, after 20% off that would only be $7.18 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=SON056963 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=MUR002198 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=RHI970338 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=RDD030046 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=BMD083919 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=RHI976617 http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=IMA003755 There's post some of your recommendations and faves. Members go cat go
That 68 Elvis comeback is awesome! Elvis looks like the king he was and sings up a storm. The songs are pure rock-a-billy and you got Scotty Moore on guitar. That performance rates up there w/ Jimi at Woodstock and the Who at Leeds. Anyways, thanks again. I ordered $140 worth of DVD's after my discount. My son bought me "Aloha" for Christmas a couple years back. So I'll soon have both too. Had the privelidge of working one of Elvis' concerts. It must have been somewhere around '75. I used to work at an Opera House (wide spectrum of shows in a 2800 seat hall) as the backstage doorman, but for that concert I was called to the Coliseum for a reserved seating concert of Elvis and worked it as an usher. Although he played way too much gospel for my taste, I was still very very impressed with the tone of his voice. It's easy to be callused to Elvis since we all grew up hearing it, but to hear him live, it was a bit of an awakening to how damned good he really did sound. And I was hearing a lot of performers back in those days.

The EJ is an awesome show of tone and the AC/DC concert will have you beating your shoe on the arm of your chair along with the throb of that massive audience. I've bought that AC/DC concert film twice. First on VHS and then later when it was reissued on DVD. It's a lot of fun.
