Members azzzy
I am thinking of replacing the hardware on my Edwards with Tonepros. Anybody know which bridge will fit - standard (small posts) or metric? Also if you have any experience with Tonepros did you notice improvement compared to the stock hardware you replaced? Thanks. Members IG0R
I have a Tonepro on my Hellcat. As far as I can tell, the only difference between them and a regular Tune-a-matic are the allen set screws on the bridge to the posts. You have to loosen these set screws to adjust the height, or you'll mar the posts. And if you remove all the strings at once, the bridge wont fall off as with a tune-a-matic. I know the set screws are suppose to help with sustain, but i dunno.
Members thredlok
I notice no difference in sustain or tone, but the tail piece doesn't fall off when you change the strings. Not worth the Cash IMHO.
Members Treborklow
Well I have noticed a difference on several of my guitars that I've put the TonePros on. Particularly on my USA Epi Sheraton. That one came with the early ABR bridge and it was very noisy. I put on the larger TOM Tonepro and it is now solid like a rock. Everything about them is more solid and precise over OEM bridges.
