Members valentsgrif
You want to get "PLAY GUITAR!" magazine. www.playguitarmagazine.com Each issue has a couple of songs set out in easy to read format. Some are easy, some harder. You can go online to hear the tunes. The mag is for "beginning and developing guitarists". It is not directed at kids but adults starting out. Gear, interviews etc.

Members jackamo
My beginner songs were - AC/DC's Back in Black album in it's entirety. Good, easy, hard rockin' riffs, and even the solos a beginner could start to mess around with.
Members thefuryone
Nirvana's "Polly" is a great song to start on. Like, 5 chords, all power chords. Also, Smells Like Teen Spirit is great, and the first solo I ever learned.
