Mr.Anderton... some questions

I've been in a guitar modding mood lately and have been thumbing through some of your books. :)

- Will the "Electronic Projects for Musicians" ever be updated?

The multimode filter excites and scares me...

- I'm doing the low cut knob thingy to one of my guitars, and noticed that you connect terminals 2 and 3 together on the tone knob. I've never seen that done before... is there a reason?

I don't seem to notice much of a difference in my tone either, I'll retrace everything and make sure it's wired correctly.

- I going to install a single conductor humbucker, Seymour Duncan 59, do you have an advice?

- Can you recommend a site (or sites) to help a super newbie learn about basic "musical" electronics?

Thanks.

p.s. a little extra butt kissing - I love my Paia Vocoder! :D

I'd like to, but it seems unlikely until I get a lab set up again.

A lot of people have built that sucker! It works very well.

Yes, it's because the pot is being used as a rheostat. By wiring the two terminals together, should there be an intermittent and the wiper lose contact, the resistance doesn't become infinite but instead is limited to the resistance of the pot.

It's subtle, but should definitely be audible.
