Members synthesized
I've been in a guitar modding mood lately and have been thumbing through some of your books. - Will the "Electronic Projects for Musicians" ever be updated? The multimode filter excites and scares me... - I'm doing the low cut knob thingy to one of my guitars, and noticed that you connect terminals 2 and 3 together on the tone knob. I've never seen that done before... is there a reason? I don't seem to notice much of a difference in my tone either, I'll retrace everything and make sure it's wired correctly. - I going to install a single conductor humbucker, Seymour Duncan 59, do you have an advice? - Can you recommend a site (or sites) to help a super newbie learn about basic "musical" electronics? Thanks. p.s. a little extra butt kissing - I love my Paia Vocoder!

It works very well. > Yes, it's because the pot is being used as a rheostat. By wiring the two terminals together, should there be an intermittent and the wiper lose contact, the resistance doesn't become infinite but instead is limited to the resistance of the pot. > It's subtle, but should definitely be audible.
