Members strathappy
I ordered a set of fat PAF's (neck and bridge) from guitarfetish today. Does anyone have these in one of their guitars? How is the quality of the GFS stuff compared to the big names? Any reviews, reports or comments welcome, thanks.

Members Crappymonkey
Have you tried using the search option at the top of the forum? Seems like half the people here have GFS pups in at least one of their guitars.

Back to the original question.... I have a pair of Fat PAF's in my Xaviere xv900 Semi-hollow.The name of the pickup says it all. They are slightly overwound, but not obnoxiosly so. They will definitely fatten up an overly bright guitar. If you are asking about sound quality compared to the big names, I think it's very good. Most of the GFS pickups I have tried, are not really trying to copy a particular big name pickup I've tried quite a few of their pickups, and my favorites are The Fatbody Tele pickups, the Dream 90, and the gfs P-
Members Minitruth
Put one in the bridge position of my SX SJM-62, thr bridge P-90 was a bit weak for my tastes. The FAT PAF and neck P-90 mix well in the middleswitch position and complement each other individually.
