Members blind radish
Anybody play one of these? Got details?
Members Attila
I've played a few of them -- personally, the ones I tried, played terrible and felt cheap. In fairness though, they were all at GC
Members GarysBlues
I agree, but in fairness GC was also the only place I seen the guitar. I just felt that it was a Cool Guitar...........but nothing special for the price [Craftsmanship]? The Stacked P-90 was a Cool pick-up though! Members metalheadUK
I played one....I can't judge 'em all on that one, but the one I played was just a very average guitar...certainly no better than my LP faded DC at less than 1/2 the price. Frets99
Pretty much the same here. I've played it a couple of times at GC and I felt it lacked edge. No personality. Maybe it's cause I wasn't wearing eye make-up.
Members blind radish
Thanks guys, can you comment on the feel of the neck, supposed to be thinner than the 50s neck
Members GarysBlues
BTW, I DID wind up buying a Melody Maker from 02-03. They were the model that somewhat resembled the LP-JR's and had the DOG-EARRED Gibson P-90 in the bridge. They are basically a $300. dollar guitar. And a set-neck GIBSON? Can't beat it! Members GarysBlues
The Melody Maker has a 59-profile neck. Though it doesn't feel too big, it definatly is noticably Bigger than the 60-profile necks!
Members Minnie The Moocher
For the price, I'd go right for a second hand Historic Gibson LP junior VOS! Now that's a gem!
