just got myself a really nice Vista series jagmaster that is equipped with jazzmaster pickups . The neck is a seymour duncan SJM-2 hot and sounds fantastic , but the bridge is RI jazzmaster stock and sounds like thin weak {censored} , Anyone have experience/or advice on what to go for in the bridge position ?

If you like the Duncan Hot in the neck you will probably like the matching Hot Bridge version too. (I personally prefer a more traditional Jazzmaster tone myself.)

If you want to go totally non-Jazzmasterly in the bridge position this guy makes a bunch of different pickups that are drop-in replacements into a Jazzmaster pickup route...

I haven't tried or heard these myself but I'd be really interested to hear how his Jazzmaster sized P-90 or Telecaster style pickups sound.

Vintage Vibe guitars also does Jazzmaster pickups now...

I've heard their Telecaster and own their Humbucker sized P-90's and they are both excellent. If you talk to Pete there he will usually do a custom wind to help you get the sound you are looking for.
