Members lonechicken
Anyone ever try that stuff advertised on TV to buff out eye glasses? I forget the brand name. Just wondering if that could be the ticket.
Members Electric Blues
Go to a hobby shop. They sell small padded squares of sandpaper, get that and a small bottle of Novus #2 polish. The bag has six grades, going from 3200 to 12000. These are used to wet sand. The first used is 3200 and with it you sand out the scratch. Use clean water with each pad so it's not contaminated with larger particles. Use all six grades. 3200 got rid of the original scratch and each succesive pad will eliminate the fine scratches the pad before left. By the time you finish with 12000, the area you fixed will have faded into the rest of the finish. Finally, polish it out with the Novus. Perfect finish. Works well on poli finishes. Take it from an exmodeler who brought home a few first place prizes for best paint in show. I strongly suggest you practice the technique on a piece of transparent plastic before you go to town on your guitar.
