Members burton4snow
Looking to put new pickups in a Fender Toronado. It has kind of a thicker body. Does anyone have opinions on good humbuckers for Blues, Classic Rock, Rock!

Members The Riffer
I really like the Gibson 57, 57 plus combination. Great soulful blues in the neck, and crunch and teeth in the bridge. cleans up nicely when you back off of the volume and has a nasally character that makes leads jump out. Members csm
The defining humbucker for blues and classic (blues-based) rock is a PAF or quality clone thereof -- anything that isn't a hyper-testosterone monsterbucker. Pretty much everything 'bucking from Seth Lover's initial invention of the humbucker onwards -- from BB King and late-50s Chuck Berry to early Van Halen, via Zep, pre-Dominos Clapton, Free, Peter Green, Mick Ronson, Clash, Pistols etc etc -- until the advent of 80s-style metal was done on vintage or vintage-style guitars with vintage or vintage-style pickups.
