Members Beckman
No. You may just need to adjust them so the Bridge is not up so high.
Members The Birdman
I use 10s....specifically D'Addario's with the wound .018" third string. I went to 10s not so much for tone, but that 9s were so light that I would overbend doing blues bends (I'm used to playing 12s on acoustics, also) All of my Strats have 10s, all have only three springs, and they are quite normal, nothing special. It's a matter of screwing the trem claw in the cavity farther in to increase the tension against the heavier strings so that the bridge has the correct float as it does with the 9s. Members metallica_00
I use 10s and three springs My trem is also blocked, but before it was blocked, 3 springs held it fine. When I'd do bends it would pull the bridge up a bit and cause other strings to go a tiny bit sharp though.

Members Oldskool Texas
10s and 4 springs here. That's the way it was set up when I bought it (used), and it plays great. Erlewine's book reccommends 4 springs with 10s, not that that's important.
