Members bluesboy
Hello all... i do believe this is my first post of the new year. I currently have 2 SD seth lover pickups in my epi LP standard. I like them OK, but i really prefer (for whatever reason, personal preference) non-covered humbuckers. I know oyu can take the covers off of other pickups... any reason why i can't do it to these too? Anybody do it? cheersbb
Members Wyatt
Sure, and they should look clean underneath since they aren't wax potted.

Members inkblot
If you use a soldering iron to get the covers off, just be careful not to get the pickup so hot it gets damaged.
Members outtahear
Gonna change the tone-you know that, yes??? Brighter (the covers add capacitance..) and since they're unpotted, the covers add the "Cheap-mic-in-a-coffee-can" EQ of real PAFs. Be careful...... Members TattooedCarrot
No telling what color bobbins will be under there. Most Seth Lovers are double cream, and sometimes zebra but I don't think I've ever seen double black, but you never know.
