Members Rapmaster
Can anybody tell me what the difference between the mexican made and U.S. made DRRIs is? I know they're the same, technically, but how are they sonically/reliability wise? Also, when did they switch production? I can't seem to google an exact year

Members Rapmaster
The Mexican ones take a siesta in the middle of my sets!! That's horrible. That just won't do at all. My greek bassist does the same thing, I can't lose both of them
Members GASSER
What's the difference whether you get an amp that's built by mexicans in Mexico or one that's built by mexicans in California? Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about it. I can't speak for the DRRI but I got my MIM HRD new last spring, gigged it all summer and fall, used it for band practice around 6 hours a week since I got it and it has worked perfectly. It's a very quiet (as in no hum at all) amp with all of my guitars. So far, it seems just as solid and reliable as my 2 MIA Fender amps. I feel the same way about my MIM teles ('72 Deluxe RI and Baja)... they're every bit as good as any of the MIA or MIJ guitars I've owned.

Members rock-lobster
you could fit about 50 of them in one truck, where as the american ones refuse to ride with more than 4 others :poke:
